KDMA Research Trust Organizational Profile  

This trust was registered by the government of Nepal with registration no. 63/2049/2050 B.S. (1992). It is an NGO and located in Chagal tole Tahachal house no. 468/31 ward 13 KMC, Kathmandu, Nepal. It is a social organizer with allergy research theme. This NGO is independent trust fund raised by its board of director and donor agencies. It has its own fixed deposit in commercial bank, finance and companies. From this fixed deposit are being used for research work. This award was established by Dr. Durga Datt Joshi in 2049 B.S (1992) on the memory of his wife, the late Mrs. Kaushilya Devi Joshi. The award includes a grant of NRs. 10,001 with certificate.

Objective

  • To promote allergic diagnosis in the country in both human and animal
  • Provide research fund to the scientists of Nepal and abroad
  • It supports to the genuine but poor student who have no money to carry out research (Nepalese citizen)
  • To disseminate these allergy information to needy people both student and researcher of different universities, institution, library of government, non-government and private.

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award for the year 2050 (1994):

KDMA research award for the year 2050 B.S. (1994) was awarded to Dr. Dirgha Singh Bam, M.D., D.T.P., D. B. MSc. Med. Epidemiology, Cer All Imm. Senior Chest Physician, Bronchologist, Epidemiology, National Tuberculosis Centre, Thimi, Kathmandu, for his research work titled “Allergy Problem in Nepal”.

 

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award for the year 2051 (1995):

KDMA research award for the year 2051 B.S. (1995) was awarded to Dr. Dirgha Singh Bam, M.D., D.T.P. (Post Graduate), D. B. MSc. Med. (Post Graduate) Senior Chest Physician, Bronchologist, Epidemiology, National Tuberculosis Centre, Thimi (Bhaktapur), Kathmandu, for his research work titled “Allergic Rhinitis and Asthma are most common Allergic disorders in Nepal”.

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Awarded for the Year 2052/053 (1996)

KDMA Research Trust Award for the year 2053 (1996) has been given to Dr. Padam Raj Bista MBBS, M.S. (Ophthalmology), Director, Geta Eye Hospital, Dhangadhi, Kailali, Nepal for his research work on “Ocular Allergy Cases in Geta Eye Hospital”.

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award for the year 2053 (1997):

 

KDMA research award for the year 2053 B.S. (1997) was awarded to Dr. Pushpa Malla, M.B.B.S., M. D., (Chest Disease) Senior Consultant Chest Physician for her research work titled “Evaluation of histaglobin therapy in respiratory allergy and common allergies in nasorespiratory allergy in Nepal in 1993”.

 

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award for the year 2054 (1998):

KDMA Research Trust Award for the year 1998 has been given to Dr. Achyut P. Sharma and Ms. Geeta Shrestha for their research work on “Aspergillus fumigates in Kathmandu valley was carried out during the year 1997”

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award  granted to Dr. Manohar Joshi for the year 2055 (1999) :

Kaushilya Devi Memorial Allergy (K.D.M.A.) research Award for the year 2055 (1999) has been awarded to Dr. Manohar Joshi M.B.B.S., MD, Family Physician, Lumbini Zonal Hospital Butwal Rupandehi for his research work “Allergy-Case Series Study on the pattern of the presentation of the patients suffering from allergy at Butwal Polyclinic, Butwal”.

 

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Awarded for the Year 2058 (2001)

KDMA Research Trust Award for the year 2058 (2001) has been given to Dr. Padam Raj Bista MBBS, M.S. (Ophthalmology), Director, Rapti Eye Hospital, Tulsipur, Dang, Nepal. for his research work on “Study on Different Types of Eye Allergy Cases in Rapti Eye Hospital, Tulsipur, Dang, Nepal”.

 

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award for the year 2059 (2002):

 

KDMA research award for the year 2058 B.S. (2002) was awarded to Dr. Pushpa Malla, M.B.B.S., M. D., (Chest Disease) Senior Consultant Chest Physician at Himal Hospital and Research Centre Gyaneshwar Kathmandu, Nepal for her research work titled “ Identification of Common Allergens by Skin Prick Test among the Allergy Patients Attending Private Clinics“.

K.D.M.A. Research Trust Award for the year 2060 (2003):

KDMA research award for the year 2060 B. S. (2003) was awarded to Dr. Durga Datt Joshi and Dr. Harish Joshi for their research work titled “Review on Allergy Diseases”

KDMA Research Award awarded for the year 2005

 

KDMA research award for the year 2062 (2005) has been nominated by the committee to Dr. Rishendra Verma, Head and Government Analyst, India Division of Biological Standardization, Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar – 243 122 (UP), India.

 

K.D.M.A. Research Award for the year 2063 (2006/07) to Dr. Dinesh Binod Pokhrel:

K.D.M.A. Research Award for the year 2063 (2006/07) has been proposed to be awarded to Dr. Dinesh Binod Pokhrel Head of the Department of Dermatology Teaching hospital IOM, Institute of Medicine, Maharjgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. The award selection committee under the chairmanship of Dr. Ananda Ballav Joshi, has selected best allergy paper titled “Pattern of Cutaneous Allergy in Dermatology Out Patinet Departmnet of Tribhuvan University Teaching Hosptial, Maharajgung, Kathmandu” among the other paper received.  This committee has also decided allergy fellowship to be given for this year to Mr. Madan Singh Bohara, Microbiologist, NZFHRC, 2063 (2007).

KDMA Research Award awarded for the year 2007

KDMA research award for the year 2064 B.S. (2007) was awarded jointly to Mr. Sushil Neupane and Ms. Minu Sharma for their research work titled “Study on Allergy Cases on School Students and Teachers in Cambridge Public High School, Kathmandu” for the year 2007.

KDMA Research Award Awarded for the year 2008:

KDMA research award for the year 2065 B.S. (2008) was awarded to Ms. Meena Dahal for her research work titled “Review on Allergy Cases Registered at OPD of the Department of Dermatology, Bir Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal for the Year 2006-2010″.

KDMA Research Award Awarded for the year 2009:

KDMA research award for the year 2066 B.S. (2009) was awarded jointly to Ms. Kabita Shahi and Ms. Indira Mainali for their research works titled:

  • Review on Allergic Case of Community Urban Health Clinic Ward No. 19 KMC,
  • A Survey on Allergic Cases Among Health Institute Students and Teachers in Shi-Gan Int’l College of Science & Technology, Narayan Gopal Chowk Kathmandu, Nepal

KDMA Research Award Awarded for the year 2010:

KDMA research award for the year 2067 B.S. (2010) was awarded to Mr. Bipin Bista, Young Research Career, JE Project, Medical Student (6th Semester), KMC, Sinamangal for his research work titled “Study of Allergy Cases and Autoimmune Diseases in Kathmandu Medical College and Teaching Hospital, Kathmandu, Nepal”.

KDMA Research Award Awarded for the year 2011:

KDMA research award for the year 2068 B.S. (2011) was awarded to Ms. Laxmi Upreti, Mr. Phul Prasad Subedi, Mr. Vimal Gurung and Mr. Yuba Raj Adhikari for their research work titled “Allergy Cases among Students, Teachers and Community People of Kuleshwor Area, Kathmandu“.
